Great idea, of course if it can be arranged in time... why not :-) Early December will be fine.

The question is: if Adrian would come for sure, and would be happy to present? :-)

Wow, great :-) thanks for the coordination.. oh, if only I speak German :-D will try to pick up some knowledge in Hockenheim, DTM final :-p

Do we have a date? I would say a Saturday (5 Dec?), because of the travellers (like me :-p ). It would be good to know asap because of the flight/train arrangements.

Oh, as I see in the German forum - but not entirely understand - you'd like to do it before end of Nov?

No... the "end of November" thing is about the registration. As we have only limited space, we need everybody to register in advance... this will be until End November.

The event will be on the 11.12. - unfortunately we couldn't have it on the saturday. It had to be the friday. We'll start at about 10am.

The Event-www sould be online this wednesday / thursday (this is what I was told by the guy doing it today...) I will put a note in the forum when it's online. There you will get more information and that will be aswell the page to register etc.

So yes - if you want to come, you're welcome.

Whenever you have any other questions, just ask!

Thanks,
Daniel

Thanks Daniel!
An "advent" long weekend in Münich would be great :-) I'll check if I can go, but you an count on me.
I hope I won't be alone as non-German :-D (I have at least a German name thx to great-great-great grandparents.
Can I reach you in private message or mail? Thx

(are you going to arrange it at the same gokart track where Adrian started his carreer? He went there with his brothers. I remember he told me about it in an interview.)

Nice to hear that I can count on you!
I don't think you will be the only non-german... So far, "Sassy" said said she will come - and I will bring some "non-germans" as well.

Yes - it will be at the "Kartpalast" in Munich. That's the place where Adrian startet.

My email is dl@sabp.es - I will always answer as soon as I can...

I remember it was also not easy to talk to the lots of Adrian fans in Monaco. :-p Hope they are coming as well, they were nice (from the fan page). :-)

thx for the ad, will keep in touch!

I thought you would be talking about the language barrier.

I hope we'll be VERY international that day.

Don't know yet if the Fan-page guys will be coming - but I hope so...

:-)
Is there a maximum, regarding nr of people can attend? There might be limitations.

SABP

The max. will be approx. 60 drivers / racers (in 15 Teams) and 140 other visitors, guests & fans. The total will be max. 200 person.

This will be the max... that's why people have to register.

Katalin, I'm very sure there should be the one or other german you can also talk to in english :-) At least I will be pleased to have a talk with you, my only problem is when I have to talk to native speakers, most of their slangs are too much for me :-)

I heard that sometimes e.g. for people from South of Germany is difficult to understand the North German accent :-) its a big country...

:-p ok, ok... I should not have mentioned, its not a big deal, fortunately speaking English is not a problem there like in some other countries...

I hope if Adrian or sby else will have a speech, he will (also) talk in English...

I tell you my experience.. I went to the DTM Presentation in Düsseldorf, and the whole presentation to the media was in German. I know its German Touring Car Championship, but as its quite international I thought it might be /also/ in English :-p

I've checked the flights, price is not that bad, will talk to a good old friend in München to help finding a nice hotel.

@ Daniel: Is it sure, that the event will take place, so I can book my flight ticket or its better to wait?

Steffl

I can tell you, that its sometimes even difficult for ppl from south germany to understand other ppl from south germany :-p

And indeed, english should not be the biggest problem in germany, but I think native speakers do always have a good laugh at our accent :-D To be honest, I also laughed a lot when I heard the teamradio of the DTM last weekend :-) reminded me on the nice italo-english of the teamradio of ferrari, only that it was german-english this time :-)

@Tcat79: Actually I thought about having the speeches / conversations in both languages... Obvoiusly it depends on the amount of english-speeking guests, but I think we'll have enough time to get all information etc. in both languages.
But be sure we won't have too many speeches - it's supposed to be fun, so no neverending & boring monologues. We'll talk on the race-track!

And if it will take place? Well - the date has been confirmed by Adrian, the Kartplace is booked exclusive for us and all planning is going well.

Hi

I have already booked my flightsand I am only an English speaker (I can speak one german phrase but it is about having cheese in my eyes so not very helpful)

I also found a reasonably nice hotel/hostel in between the centre and the race track, which is a good price and seems to have good facilities for the evening. I am flying in on the thursday and leave sunday morning. Please let me know if you want the details ofthis.

I am very much looking forward to it, going karting on sunday for some practice now that my ankle is fixed :-D

Great! Same thoughts about flights/days... :-) Not sure about the hotel. The one you find is cheaper than 50EUR/n?

SABP

You are right - it doesn't help if you have walk around Munich with cheese in your eyes because it's all you know in german... and it for sure will not help you racing.

Will the friend you bring race as well?

Thanks Daniel! I'll book the flight soon :-)
